Welcome to my blog!  I am new at this, but I am excited to be a part of a great online sharing community for teachers!

I have been a 1st grade teacher for 9 years and I have loved every minute of it.  The past few years I have had the great opportunity to 'teach teachers' at workshops throughout the summer and school year on the district and state levels and I realized that teaching adults is pretty amazing as well!  This year, I am taking on a new adventure and I have become an English Language Arts Coordinator.  It's a pretty fancy title, but basically I will be helping teachers implement the new core standards, along with a new language arts program in our district.  I am excited for my new adventure!
